Nelly Rapp has learnt how to deal with monsters and other dangers with help from Calm, Knowledge and Guile. But will “CK and G" be enough to help Nelly in removing a curse which entraps the entire town and will Valle, who is not yet a fully-fledged monster agent be of any help?
The inhabitants of Spookbay are dissatisfied for there has been one unfortunate incident after another. Cars skidding, bicycle tyres getting punctures and birds chasing people to poop on them! It’s as if the whole town is cursed. People are fleeing, and visitors refuse to come. Nelly is commissioned to find out what’s going on.
On arrival in Spookbay she and her friend Valle are greeted with sight of the old castle towering above the now almost deserted town. The few inhabitants who remain throw covert glances at the castle and mutter curses on its occupants: the baron and his old mother. Are they the cause of all the trouble?
Nelly and Valle take the opportunity to deliver the castle’s order of groceries, hoping to get a chance to meet the strange couple. But the baron disappears down a spiral staircase to the cellar. “To work," he says. What is he doing down there?
The experienced monster agent and her new assistant tiptoe after him...
